What if your car FAILS its MOT?

If your car fails its MOT, don't worry. Here are the steps you can take:

Get a detailed report: We will provide you with a detailed report explaining the reasons for the failure. This report will outline the specific issues that need to be addressed.

Determine if a retest is included: We offer a free retest within 10 working days.

Repair the issues: Review the report and address the identified problems. We will work through the repairs required and provide you with a quote, book the work in and get the car sorted for a retest.

Keep documentation: Ensure you obtain receipts or invoices for the repairs made, as you might need to provide them during the retest.

Book a retest: Once the repairs are completed, we'll book a retest as soon as we can within the timescales.

Be prepared for the retest: Present your car for the retest along with all the necessary documentation and proof of repairs. The test should focus on the specific issues that caused the initial failure rather than running through the entire test again.

Remember, there is no fee for the retest if it takes place within the specified time frame and you bring the car back to us.

If we already work on your car, when you bring it in our team will always let you know of anything they find - for example they'll let you know if the tyres are looking a bit worn and won't make it through the next MOT.
